So I decided to make a list of my top 10 movies. Most of these are in the top 10 because I can watch them over and over again...every time they come on. I have other movies I think have better photography or maybe better acting...but overall these are the 10:


1.  The Shawshank Redemption-This movie just does it for me. I can watch it over and over again. Great story and great photography.

2.  Indiana Jones Trilogy- I am counting the first three Indiana Jones movies as one. Great movies with a lot of action. The 4th one sucked.

3.  Full Metal Jacket-Best war movie ever. EVER.

4.  Monty Python and the Holy Grail-mindless and cerebral at the same time. Monty Python is absolute genius. I thought about including Life of Brian as well…I just didn't want to put 2 Monty Python movies on the list.

5.  The Matrix-This movie blew me away when I first saw it in the theater. I kind of moved away from it for a little while after the next 2 came out…they just didn't hold up. But I think the first movie will always be a classic.

6.  Fight Club-sorry…I can't talk about fight club

7.  Pulp Fiction-BAD ASS MOVIE

8.  Good Will Hunting-Makes me feel good. I'm not sure why…I think I can relate to the mental OCD issues of Matt Damon in this one.

9.  Caddyshack-One of the top comedies of all time. One of the best golf movies of all time. Bill Murray at his best…and Chevy Chase ain't bad either.

10  Chicago-Everyone has to have a musical in their top 10 (okay maybe not)…and I just can't seem to not watch this movie. I will be flipping through the channels...and the next thing I know I am rocking out to Renee Zellweger and Catherine Zeta Jones. I know, I know…I am really not proud of this.


One that almost made it is O Brother Where Art thou. Great cinematic movie and awesome soundtrack. Maybe George Clooney really is the sexiest man alive.

One of the BIGGEST joys in my life is opening a brand new jar of peanut butter.

Today was that day.

The old jar was empty...so it got tossed. Tossed to the dogs in the back yard. Their favorite day is today too...because they get to lick the inside of the old peanut butter jar until it is completely empty. What a great day to be a wiener dog.

Then came my moment. I took off the lid...ripped off the protective paper...then stuck my knife into the brand new...fresh...never disturbed jar of Jiff (choosey moms choose Jiff...as if you didn't know). I pulled it out. No peanut butter on my fingers because I had to reach down into the jar...no using a spoon to scrape the sides to get that last little bit...just a knife with peanut butter. WOW!

I think that that first bit tastes better too...who could ask for more.

Now I can only dream and hope that I am the one who opens the next jar. It is waiting in the pantry for its turn at excellence.

I can't wait.

I am totally amazed by some of the talet here on DA. It blows my mind that this many great artists participate in such an open way.
